    Gros-Réderching wind farm

    Grand-Est

Given that there are already five wind turbines operated by Iqony in the neighbouring municipality Woelfling-lès-Sarreguemines, Iqony has been calculating wind energy potential in the municipality of Gros-Réderching and maintaining contact with its representatives since 2016. The municipal council decided to approve the project in June 2017. Iqony has therefore begun various studies (which are currently still ongoing) to examine the feasibility of constructing the Gros-Réderching wind farm:

    • Landscape
    • Flora and fauna
    • Acoustics
    • And more

It should be noted that there is no need to install a wind measurement tower, as production data from the Woelfling-lès-Sarreguemines wind farm can be used.

The Gros-Réderching farm, originally designed with six wind turbines, is now planned to contain two 3.45 MW machines with a total height of 150 m. This significant reduction in the project scope is due to military aviation restrictions in the area.

The two facilities will provide around 4,000 French households with power, covering the municipality of Gros-Réderching approximately seven times over.
